About us

Our work centers on Jordan's overlooked heritage and on the people who carry it forward.

Its stone alleys, schoolyards, home kitchens and incense filled living rooms.

Who we are

Project Narrate, New Destination Narratives Jordan Chapter, is a Jordanian organization that turns heritage and culture into economic and social opportunity.

Founded in 2021, we build on five years of earlier community work as Shababuna Ezwieh.

We do not simply document culture. We build lasting platforms around it that reach real markets.

Our mission

To empower the local community by using heritage and culture as tools to identify and solve the challenges it faces.

What drives us

Heritage that works

01

What we are

We work where heritage meets entrepreneurship. Every project starts with something a community already owns, such as a recipe passed down through generations, a craft, a story tied to a place or a piece of land, and turns it into something that can be taught, sold and sustained.

02

Why we exist

Heritage should not have to choose between preservation and neglect. There is a third path: it can work, earn an income and stay alive, because the people who carry it are the ones who benefit from it.

03

Built to outlast the funding

Once a product or experience is designed, ownership passes to the artisans and communities who made it, so the income keeps flowing long after our involvement and the funding end.

Monitoring and evaluation

How we measure impact

01

Participation tracking

Attendance and completion records for every training, workshop and capacity building session.

02

Visitor engagement

Direct interaction counts, such as QR code scans and ratings at the Reveal Madaba floor boxes.

03

Product and experience records

Documented output for every design cycle: products created and experiences launched.

04

Partner and funder reporting

Regular reports for institutional partners such as UNDP and the Ministry of Youth.

05

Follow up after the project

We check in with participants to see whether they still use their skills and still earn from the products they developed.
